A new VET Curriculum for DPOs in the Health sector

The project foresees the development of a DPO VET Curriculum and awareness raising training modules for introducing GDPR compliance necessity and the importance of protecting personal data in the new business environment.

The above will be achieved through the conduction of the below activities/tasks:

  • Preparation of a learning-outcome based DPO Curriculum & Training course for DPOs in Health sector & trainers
  • Designing of assessment standards and adaptation of Curricula in Countries’ specific context
  • Development of an embedded mobility Scheme for DPOs in Health sector and piloting of curricula in “real life” workplace

From our research on the current VET curricula in the data protection field, differentiation among offered courses (regarding duration, learning material, etc) hardens the development of a harmonised common approach and sharing of new ideas on actual needs in the data privacy sector. Our Project is pioneer in the field since it will set the basis for a common approach in the sensitive field of Health sector and patient data monitoring. As far as it concerns WBL, we are going to develop an innovative “mobility tool” as a communication tool between VET teachers and in-company trainers for the delivery of DPOs and Data Protection Employees work-based learning is going to be established.

Based on the above approach two training Curricula are going to be designed and delivered:
